In this role, you will assist in overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of the resort’s irrigation systems to ensure optimal landscape and golf course turf health and water efficiency. Responsibilities include supervising team members, scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting irrigation system issues, and assisting with fertilizer and chemical applications, including spraying when needed. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Restricted Use Pesticide License. A minimum of one year of golf course maintenance experienceis preferred. This position plays a key role in maintaining both the resort’s landscape areas and golf course to the high standards expected across the property.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Strong background in golf course and landscape maintenance
Knowledge of turfgrass management and horticulture practices
Experience with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and water management
Ability to supervise and lead daily crew operations
Experience scheduling and coordinating maintenance tasks
Knowledge of fertilizer applications and chemical spraying practices
Familiarity with pesticide safety and regulations; Restricted Use Pesticide License preferred or ability to obtain
Minimum one year of golf course maintenance experience preferred
Committed to maintaining high-quality playing conditions and outdoor spaces
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds

Mission Resort + Club Today
Mission Resort + Club spans over 500 acres, featuring 176 hotel rooms, two award-winning golf courses, three restaurants, a spa, and 30,000+ sq. ft. of event space. The Beucher family had owned and managed the resort since 1964, overseeing multiple expansions and renovations. In August 2024, a new irrigation system was completed on our El Campeón golf course that has positively impacted play on all holes. But our golf course isn’t the only area that has received upgrades. In February 2025, all of our guest rooms, suites, and guest room corridors received new furnishings and enhancements. Renovations and upgrades were also made to our 6,200 square foot spa, with updated furnishings, paint, furniture, and more. Our Nicker's Clubhouse Restaurant was also rebranded to Grove House Restaurant, that paired with a new TV wall, reupholstered chairs and tables, and fresh, new menu. Plans are in place for more exciting enhancements coming soon, stay tuned!
