Crag Burn Golf Club is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design that opened in 1972 , set on a remarkable property in East Aurora, NY. Crag Burn sits on a 220 acre property that presents a parkland setting front nine and a links style back nine. The Club is a true golf club experience, dedicated to providing championship playing conditions on a daily basis. Crag Burn has proudly hosted numerous NYSGA events, most recently the 2019 Mens Amateur and the 2023 Mens Mid-Amateur and will host the 2028 Mens Amateur.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly motivated and detail-oriented team that strives to set the highest standards daily. The successful candidate will gain extensive hands-on experience in high-end turfgrass maintenance and project management resulting in professional growth. Crag Burn’s goal is to help lead and mentor the next generation of golf course superintendents.
In August 2025, the Club broke ground on a major golf course renovation led by golf course architect Tyler Rae to restor the course back to Jones' original design. The restoration included:
21,000 sq. ft. of green expansions
2" slit drainage installed in all greens
New irrigation installed around greens and approaches
Complete bunker rebuild with Billy Bunker liner system
24 tees rebuilt
2 Acres of fairway expansions
The Club will begin Phase II of the Tyler Rae masterplan in Fall 2026, focusing on a redesigned driving range and practice facility featuring three new greens, bunkers, and irrigation. Long-term projects in the next 5-7 years include a new irrigation installation and completion of an entire course drainage plan.
