The Ford Field and River Club is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as the 2nd Assistant Superintendent. In this role, you will work closely with the Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and management of our prestigious golf course. Responsibilities include assisting in planning and executing maintenance practices, supervising staff, and ensuring the course meets the highest standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for turfgrass management, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the beauty and functionality of our renowned course.
As the 2nd Assistant Superintendent, you will play a key role in maintaining the overall health and appearance of the golf course. You will be involved in daily course setup, irrigation management, fertilizer and pesticide applications, and equipment operation. Additionally, you will assist in budgeting, record-keeping, and project planning. The ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to changing priorities is essential for success in this position.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
- Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance practices
- Experience in supervising staff
- Ability to operate relevant equipment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
