As an Assistant Superintendent working under Superintendent and Director of Agronomy, you will play a crucial role in the management and maintenance of the golf course or grounds. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, you will assist in planning and implementing turf care programs, irrigation systems management, pest control, and equipment maintenance. Your responsibilities will also include supervising grounds staff, ensuring course aesthetics meet the set standards, and promoting efficient resource management. The role demands a strong understanding of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and pest control practices. You will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with the team, vendors, and golf course members.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent,Previous experience in golf course maintenance or related field,Knowledge of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and pest control,Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment,Strong organizational and communication skills,Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment,Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
