Guidant Management in Sunrise, FL is looking for one golf course superintendent to join our team at our 18-hole executive golf course at 8150 Springtree Drive. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.
Must pass a Background check and Drug Test.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of golf course maintenance experience in a leadership role to include golf, turf fertilization, calibration, pest control and irrigation oversight
· Pesticide applicator certification

Qualifications
· Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture
· Certified and/or licensed for pesticide usage
· Valid Florida driver’s license
· Knowledge of irrigation including watering practices, irrigation systems, pumps, wells and automatic controls and drainage
Responsibilities
The superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operation and management of the golf course.
· Direct and manage a staff of 6-8 employees and the maintenance of the golf course including the clubhouse and surrounding areas according to the management contract.
· Approve all expenditures and exercises cost control measures to keep, as nearly as possible, operating and capital expenses in line with the approved budgets
· Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, direct and supervise employees for the purpose of maintaining the golf courses
· Ensure that chemicals, petroleum, and other controlled products are used, stored, and disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations; maintain required records
· Reports directly to the General Manager
· Supervising the operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment assigned to the course
· Preparing and operating within annual budget estimates and agronomic plan
· Creating and distributing reports of maintenance activities as required
· Fulfilling administrative duties timely
