Hawks Landing Golf Club, seeks an exceptional and highly motivated Senior level Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our dedicated tenured team. This pivotal role will work closely with Director of Grounds to ensure the course consistently meets the standard set forth by our members. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of agronomy and a passion for firm and fast conditioning. The ideal candidate is someone that wants to learn and wants to be a part fostering a culture of dedication and excellence
Key Reponsibilities;
Course Maintenance and Agronomy collaborate with Director of Grounds to develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance plan, encompassing all aspects of turfgrass health, irrigation, fertilization, pest control and overall course aesthetics
Personal Management ; Oversee and direct daily activities fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professionalism Provide training, mentorship and performance feedback to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols
Irrigation and Water Management; Monitor and optimize irrigation system to ensure firm and fast playing conditions
Course Improvements; Participate in the planning and execution of course improvements
Record Keeping; Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, pesticide and fertilizer application and other relevant data
Continuing Education; Stay abreast of the latest advancements in turfgrass management through professional development
Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in golf course maintenance
In depth knowledge of turfgrass, cultural practices and pest/disease management
Proficiency in operation and repair toro osmac irrigtion system
Proficient in the operation of GPS based turf sprayers
