As the Golf Superintendent for the 9-hole golf course, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the maintenance and operation of the golf course to ensure it meets the highest standards. You will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated staff to maintain the course, including managing turf grass, irrigation systems, landscaping, and overall course aesthetics. Your job will involve developing and implementing maintenance plans, monitoring course conditions, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and utilized. Additionally, you will work closely with the golf course management to coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, provide budget estimates, and implement sustainable practices to enhance course playability and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in turf management, golf course maintenance, and staff supervision. Bachelor's Degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred
Proven experience in golf course maintenance and turf management
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Knowledge of irrigation systems, equipment maintenance, and landscape management
Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
Jefferson Country Club is a private, member focused club in Monticello, Florida, built around a welcoming community and a we maintained 9 hole golf course. Established in 1964, the club offers a full range of member only amenities, including a social/bar area, community hall, tennis courts, and a seasonal swimming pool. These spaces serve as the heart of our member community and support a wide variety of social, recreational, and family friendly activities.
The club is currently investing in a major agronomy upgrade, transitioning all greens to TifEagle ultradwarf bermudagrass. This renovation reflects our long-term commitment to improved playability, modern turf standards, and enhanced course conditioning for our members.
