We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Landscape Turf Management Specialist to oversee the health, maintenance, and appearance of turfgrass and landscape areas across our properties. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in turfgrass science, pest management, and irrigation systems to ensure top-tier quality in all green spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain turf management programs including mowing, fertilization, aeration, and over-seeding.
Diagnose and treat turfgrass diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
Operate and maintain specialized turf care equipment.
Perform soil testing and make science-based recommendations for soil amendments.
Monitor and optimize irrigation systems for water efficiency and plant health.
Maintain detailed records of chemical applications and maintenance schedules.
Assist with landscape installations, renovations, and seasonal planting as needed.
Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Support training and oversight of seasonal grounds staff.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field.
2+ years of experience in turf management, landscaping, or groundskeeping or educational equivalent.
Strong understanding of cool- and warm-season turfgrass varieties, soil science, and integrated pest management (IPM).
Valid pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one.
Experience with irrigation troubleshooting and water management best practices is a plus
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
