Trump National Golf Club Westchester is seeking a skilled, organized, and team-oriented Equipment Manager to oversee all maintenance, repair, and readiness of our golf course equipment fleet. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly by keeping equipment serviced, safe, and performing at the highest level.
We’re looking for someone who has a positive attitude, works well with others, and can seamlessly integrate into a well-established maintenance operation. This role is perfect for a professional who takes pride in their craft, communicates clearly, and supports a structured, consistent approach to golf course maintenance.
Maintenance Staff: 10 full-time; 22 total in season
Turf Types: Bent/Poa (predominantly Bentgrass)
Equipment: John Deere (Capital Lease)
Typical Work Schedule:
In Season (April–November):
Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm
Saturdays as needed to check mowers
Overtime available
Off Season (December–April):
Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm
Additional hours during snow removal
Snow plowing required (OT)

Initial Priorities:
Ensure all equipment is up-to-date on routine service
Diagnose and repair any broken-down equipment
Oversee reel sharpening and grinding
Evaluate equipment condition and identify immediate needs
Support daily readiness of mowers, utility vehicles, and shop equipment
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair all golf course maintenance equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on mowers, vehicles, and small equipment
Grind and sharpen cutting units; maintain quality-of-cut standards
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
Order parts, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors
Train staff on proper equipment operation and safety procedures
Assist the management team with budgeting for equipment parts and repairs
Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe
Fuel and secure equipment daily
Collaborate with Superintendent and Assistants to support daily operations
Participate in snow plowing and winter equipment preparation
Qualifications:
Experience:
3+ years of equipment repair/maintenance experience
Experience with golf course equipment preferred
Education:
High School diploma required
Associate degree preferred, but not required
Other Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to diagnose and repair small engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical labor as needed
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Valid Driver’s License
Compensation & Benefits:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience
