Jefferson Country Club is a member-owned, truly private country club located at 7271 Jefferson Meadows Dr., Blacklick, OH 43004-9811. The Club features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., blending links-style design principles on the front nine with classic American parkland style on the back nine. The spacious clubhouse, opened in May 2002, provides banquet space for up to 350 guests, with amenities including six Har Tru clay tennis courts, a fitness facility, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and a dining room overlooking the golf course and Men’s Grille Room. Jefferson Country Club is dedicated to providing an environment of total member satisfaction and lasting family memories. The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomy operations to maintain championship-level quality and playability at Jefferson Country Club, ensuring the full amenity experience for members and guests.
Position Summary:
Oversee daily course maintenance activities: mowing, irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease control.
Maintain all campus grounds including but not limited to: Clubhouse, Pool, Racquet Sports etc.
Develop and implement short- and long-term agronomic plans; manage budgets and capital improvements.
Supervise, train, and evaluate the grounds crew, ensuring high standards of safety and performance.
Manage irrigation and drainage systems to optimize turf health and resource efficiency.
Monitor turf and soil conditions; diagnose issues and implement corrective action plans.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, labor, and club regulations.
Collaborate with golf operations and other club departments to ensure member service and event readiness.
Prepare the course daily for play as well as for tournaments and special events.
Manage operating and capital budgets for the agronomy department.
Build and maintain positive relationships with members, vendors, staff, and other stakeholders.

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf course maintenance; at least 2 years in a superintendent or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, drainage, soil science, and maintenance equipment.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with turf management software and modern equipment systems.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
