Scepter Golf Club opened in 2005 and is the newest of the three courses in Sun City Center. Building upon his success at Club Renaissance, Florida-based golf course architect Chip Powell built the ideal Members’ course with five sets of tee decks for golfers of all skill levels. Water that is in play on most holes and smart bunkering demands strategic shots both off the tee and into greens. The green sites, many of which are raised, are definitely a highlight of the course where Powell asks golfers to think creatively on both long and short approach shots. The manicured roll-off collars and intriguing swales around greens demand accuracy. This is a golf course you will want to play more than once to get to know it and score well. As the course roams through the neighboring communities, there is a sweet blend of both natural habitat and wildlife with golf course homes.
