Meadow Brook Golf Course – Gettysburg, PA
Meadow Brook is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to lead our agronomic team and maintain exceptional playing conditions. As the senior turfgrass professional, you will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and involved long-term planning of our grounds. Our course is an 18-hole public course located in South Central, PA close to the Maryland line.
Key Responsibilities:
Turf Management: work with annual agronomic plans (fertilization, IPM, aeration, overseeding).
Course Conditions: Daily monitoring of greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers to ensure high-quality, safe, and aesthetic playing surfaces.
Leadership: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance and seasonal staff.
Irrigation/Equipment: Oversee irrigation system scheduling and maintenance, along with preventative maintenance for all equipment.
Compliance: Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations regarding chemical/pesticide use.
Qualifications:
Degree or Certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
3-5+ years of experience in golf course maintenance, including leadership roles.
PA Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and modern agronomic practices.
