Salary up to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Yuba Golf Club is seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent who is eager to learn, take ownership, and help elevate a historic golf property undergoing an exciting transformation under new ownership. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent turfgrass graduate or early-career turf professional who wants to be part of building something special. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and hungry to make a difference while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of golf course agronomy, crew leadership, and course improvement. At Yuba Golf Club, the Assistant Superintendent will play a meaningful role in shaping course conditions and the future of the property while developing the skills necessary to advance into a Golf Course Superintendent position.
• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred • Recent graduates and early-career turf professionals are strongly encouraged to apply • Strong work ethic with a desire to grow within the golf course management profession • Basic knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, turfgrass health, and irrigation systems • Ability to lead small crews and work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent • Ability to obtain or currently hold a California Qualified Applicator License (QAL/QAC) within a reasonable time • Ability to operate golf course maintenance equipment safely • Excellent communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
