Hours of Operation: M-F 6 AM – 3 PM Saturday/Sunday 6 AM – work completed
Vacation/Sick Pay, Medical, Dental insurance, 401k.
Continuing education, GCSAA, and local chapter dues paid for.
Reports directly to Golf Course Superintendent. Under the direction and supervision of Golf Course Superintendent, the assistant participates in the maintenance of the golf course and associated areas of the club that fall under the responsibility of the Golf Course Superintendent.
• Assist in planning, monitoring, and record keeping in the maintenance of the golf course. • Directly supervises and instructs employees on the use and care of turf equipment, application of fertilizer and pesticide application, service of the irrigation system, daily job duties, and special projects. • Communicate with the golf shop of projects, problems, or concerns that may affect playability. • Assist in maintaining golf course operation and capital budgets. • Training of new golf course personnel. • Safety training and procedures in hazardous materials, standard operating procedures, and emergency procedures. • Irrigation inspection and repairs. • Assist in the setting up of equipment for daily assignments. • Scheduling of job duties. • Scouting for pest and disease problems. • Syringing of greens. • Inventory, invoices, payroll, purchasing.
• Strong work ethic and a high attention to detail. • Dedicated to personal development and have solid problem-solving skills. • Requires working knowledge of the maintenance of tees, fairways, greens, and cultural practices involved in golf course maintenance. • Requires ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of resources. • Obtain and maintain an Alabama pesticide license within 90 days of hiring date. • Knowledge in the proper use of fertilizers and pest management methods, drainage techniques, and irrigation systems.

An elegant venue used for weddings, tournaments, and other formal events, the grounds that surround this course are charming and provide a serene atmosphere for your golfing experience. The course is suitable for all ages and skillsets and is almost 7,000 yards in rolling terrain and dense woods.
