Barrington Hills Country Club is a private, member-owned club originally designed and built in 1921 by George O’Neil. Located just 32 miles northwest of Chicago in the quiet town of Barrington, Illinois, the course offers a classic parkland experience across a picturesque landscape. The course features bentgrass tees and fairways, original 1921 bent/poa push-up greens, and Kentucky bluegrass roughs. In 2020, the club completed a bunker redesign led by Renaissance Golf Design, incorporating Capillary Concrete to enhance consistency and playability.
Barrington Hills Country Club is seeking a Lead Assistant Superintendent to join our dedicated and close-knit turf team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who’s eager to grow their career in golf course management, gain leadership experience, and be part of a supportive team that values both hard work and balance.
Our turf team works hard to present the course at a championship level every day — but we also recognize the importance of time away and maintaining a healthy balance between work and life. You’ll join a team that takes pride in what we do while supporting one another on and off the course.
