Hillwood Country Club is seeking a motivated and dependable Golf Course Mechanic to join our Agronomy Team. Working under the direction of the Director of Agronomy and Equipment Manager, the Golf Course Mechanic will assist with the preventative maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of the golf course maintenance fleet and associated equipment.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in equipment maintenance and mechanical repair within the golf course industry. Previous experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
Responsibilities
Assist with preventative maintenance and scheduled service of golf course maintenance equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
Maintain accurate service records and equipment maintenance logs.
Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and grinding of cutting units.
Work collaboratively with the agronomy team to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety procedures and club policies.
Potential for need to perform tasks on the golf course
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with small engines, automotive, diesel, or equipment repair is preferred.
Knowledge of common hand and power tools.
Ability to learn new skills and adapt to evolving maintenance practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
