Oyster Harbors Club, located on Grand Island in Osterville along Cape Cod’s southern shore, was founded in 1926 and is known for championship-caliber golf and an exceptional summer club experience. The 18-hole course is one of Donald Ross’s last original designs and was fully restored in fall 2024 under the direction of architect Gil Hanse, including major irrigation and infrastructure upgrades. In June 2026, Oyster Harbors will host the Massachusetts Open Golf Championship for the first time since 1942. As the state’s premier golf event, the championship will showcase the Club’s exceptional conditions and reinforce its reputation as one of Massachusetts’ top golf courses. Oyster Harbors Club is seeking highly motivated individuals with a passion for golf and its history.
Interns will have the opportunity to work with the Superintendents on an internship program to meet their needs. This program will include, but is not limited to the following activities:
Course Set-up
Water Management
Mowing/Rolling
Daily Course Maintenance
Opportunity to obtain Massachusetts Pesticides Applicators License
IPM Techniques and Scouting
Equipment Use Management
Fertilizer & Pesticides Applications
Irrigation Installation & Repair
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year Turf Management Program
Passion for turf care and golf course maintenance
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Detail-oriented and hardworking attitude
Ability to follow instructions and take initiative
