Boyne Mountain Resort is seeking 2 motivated interns to join our golf course maintenance team for the 2026 season. This hands-on internship offers aspiring turf management professionals the opportunity to gain real-world experience maintaining two championship 18-hole courses—The Alpine and The Monument—while working directly with our experienced Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents.
What you'll Learn:
Interns will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomy, with focused training in:
- Daily course setup and preparation
- Fertilizer and pesticide application techniques
- Irrigation system maintenance and repairs
- Equipment operation and mowing techniques
- Construction projects planned for the 2026 season
- Agronomic problem-solving and decision-making
Our goal is to provide you with the technical skills, industry knowledge, and professional development to advance your career in turf management.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a turf management, agronomy, horticulture, or related program (or recent graduate)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Previous golf course or grounds maintenance experience preferred but not required
