The club was originally founded in 1956 by Carlton Blunt and was originally designed by Robert Bruce Harris. In 1986 another major renovation was completed by Arthur Hills. Then in 2006, Lester George conducted our most recent renovation. In the summer of 2023, we just completed our most recent “restoration” where we completed the following: the resurfacing of all greens, fraze mowing all fairways, adding Better Billy Bunkers, updating the irrigation system with Toro Infinity Sprinklers, redesigning the clubhouse parking lot, and a complete renovation of the driving range and practice area. In 2012 a brand-new environmental building was installed which includes an above ground gas and diesel tank, Carbtrol Washdown System, chemical mixing and loading area, and equipment storage. We are also currently in the process of building a brand-new, state of the art maintenance facility which a 3 phase project with phase 1 set to be completed in June.   Position Overview The Assistant Superintendent will be involved in the day to day operation of the golf course and clubhouse landscaping. This includes managing and working alongside a staff of +/- 15 crew members, spraying chemicals/ fertilizer, spreading fertilizer, hand watering, irrigation repair and regular maintenance, diagnosing irrigation issues, operating mowers, tractors, and many other pieces of equipment.
