								<description>North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina,  The Surf Golf &#38; Beach Club is seeking a dedicated Assistant Superintendent to join our team at our 18-hole Private golf course. The course, originally designed by George Cobb in 1960 and renovated by John Lafloy in 1996 and 2016, features Champion Bermuda grass greens and 419 Bermuda fairways, tees, and rough. Our goal is to maintain excellent playing conditions for our members while ensuring a reasonable work schedule. There may be occasions where late work is required, such as during topdressing, aerifying, or tournament preparation. The club boasts a state-of-the-art HDPE Toro irrigation lynx system with 4 Smart hubs, two new pump stations, and two deep wells dedicated to irrigation. We have exciting renovation plans in the pipeline, including improvements to greens, bunkers, tees, and the practice facility, as well as ongoing clubhouse renovations with a new campus-style design. Minimum 2 years of golf course experience. Must have a working knowledge of irrigation systems and ability to troubleshoot and make basic repairs. Prior private club experience preferred. Candidate shall be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Candidate should also understand and enjoy playing the game of golf. 								<title>Assistant Superintendent | Holly Tree Country Club</title>

								<description>Simpsonville, South Carolina,  Holly Tree Country Club is a private club located in Simpsonville SC, just outside of Greenville. The course was designed by George Cobb and opened in 1973. &#xa0;In addition to a driving range, putting green, and chipping green, Holly Tree Country Club also offers a private skills area and short course. 
 We are undergoing a major course renovation that started in October of 2025, designed by Jeff Lawrence, ASGCA. The scope of this project includes: all greens complexes redesigned, new better billy bunkers, laser level all tee surfaces along with adding new tees, new naturalized areas will be installed, remedial design work on select holes, new Toro 2 wire irrigation system, and some necessary tree work. Greens surfaces will be rebuilt to USGA specs and sprigged with TifEagle. Tahoma 31 will be installed around all greens and tees. All tees will be laser leveled, some will be repositioned, and some will be made larger. We will also be adding new tees on select holes. All greenside and fairway bunkers will be redesigned and built back to Better Billy Bunker specs. The golf course will reopen in September 2026. This is a great opportunity for an assistant to advance in their career with renovation experience as he/she will be involved in all aspects of this project. 
 Works closely with Senior Assistant and Director of Agronomy

 Rock Hill Country Club, founded in 1934, is an 18-hole private club located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, just 38 minutes south of Charlotte, North Carolina.&#xa0; Working closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and management of our 200-acre facility which consists of Mini Verde ultradwarf Bermudagrass greens, 419 Bermudagrass fairways and a mix of 419 and Zoysia tees. 
 Daily tasks are, but not limited to: 
 
 Work Closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to successfully carry out the yearly maintenance program for the golf course. 
 Assist and oversee the daily setup of the golf course. 
 Plan and execute pesticide/fertility applications. 
 Assigning crew daily jobs when asked to do so. 
 ability to organize and execute projects. 
 Carry out Irrigation repairs when needed.

 Initial Priorities of Position:

 Preferred Qualifications: 
 
 Certificate or Degree in Turfgrass Science/Management or similar field. 
 Three to five years&#39; experience on a golf course. Management experience is a plus.

 Prior experiences include superintendent positions at Red Hawk Run Golf Course, and Oakland Hills Country Club for the most recent golf course restoration alongside Gil Hanse. Additional experience assistant superintendent roles at Sand Ridge Golf Club, Elyria Country Club and Pine Brook Golf Course. 
 Nick was a 2017 Green Start Academy attendee, and graduate of the Ohio State University.
