Waverley Country Club was founded in 1896 and has been continuously operating at its current site since 1898. The current routing has been utilized since 1912 and after tinkering with that layout over the next 100 years, the golf course was renovated by Gil Hanse in 2012. This work included the rebuilding of all bunkers, a new irrigation system, extensive drainage improvements and a number of green and fairway expansions. The campus includes an all natural grass practice facility with a full acre practice tee, a two acre short game facility, a tennis court along the bank of the Willamette River, and a Clubhouse constructed in 1913 which is listed on the National Historic Register. The Club is currently embarking on a significant improvement project involving the swimming pool and adjacent summer dining space.
