The Equipment Manager (EM) reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and assists in overseeing the daily operations of the Golf Course Maintenance (GCM) Facility.

Responsibilities:

? Identify and resolve mechanical issues on all maintenance equipment including gas, diesel, and electric units.

? Ensure all reel and rotary units are cutting properly and at the proper height of cut.

? Assist in continued training for the turf technicians on proper usage and maintenance of all equipment.

? Schedule, conduct, and record preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment

? Communicate with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents about any issues relating to maintenance and repair of all equipment.

? Manage, coordinate, and develop the Assistant Mechanic.

? Must be able to comply with all OSHA safety standards and practices.

Requirements:

? Advanced knowledge of reel and bed knife grinding - experience with Foley Grinders

? Experience with Toro and John Deere cutting units

? Able to quickly and efficiently diagnose issues with turf equipment

? Must have basic computer knowledge to oversee related budgets
