Indian Bayou Golf Club is seeking an individual for the position of IPM Technician.
The intergrated pest management program is designed to address the management of pest pressures in turf, ornamental plants including trees and shrubs, native areas and lakes. This includes application of plant protectants such as fungicides, algaecides, insecticides and herbicides. It also includes managing plant health through fertillization, promoting proper soil drainage, sunlight exposure and air movement.
As assistant-in-training the person in this position will be exposed to staff management, scheduling, project planning and managment and will be considered for beginning level supervisory duties.
The spray tech will be involved in all aspects of the IPM program.
This includes: - Applications of liquid and granular plant protectants, fertilizers and soil ammendments. - Record keeping of all applications. - Managing inventory of all plant protectant products and fertilizers including organization and cleanliness of product storges. - Calibration and maintenance of application equipment including sprayers and spreaders

Educational Requirements
Prefer a minimum certificate level completion of courses in horticulture or agronomy or currently enrolled in online classes.
Experience Requirements
Experience with application of fertilizers and plant protectants preferably on a golf course but not necessary.
Special Requirements
Must already have or obtain FL pesticide applicators license in a timely manner
