Overview.
Inglewood Golf Club, an 18 hole private Golf Club in Kenmore, WA, is recruiting an Assistant Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendents report directly to the golf course Superintendent. Under the Superintendent's supervision, the Assistant Superintendents direct the grounds staff and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, roughs, landscapes and water bodies. The Assistant Superintendents will serve in the Superintendent's capacity during his/her absence.
Functions of the Assistant Superintendent
Assists in planning and supervising the maintenance of all areas of the golf course and supervises the employees and use of the equipment. As an innovative member of the turf management team, the Assistant is expected to propose, supervise and complete special projects as course conditions and member expectations require.
Instructs and trains equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment. Maintains adequate records of training sessions.
Supervises pesticide applications and calibrates and/or operates pesticide application equipment and calculates product application rates.
Supervises and participates in the operation and maintenance of pumps, and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
Assists in personnel management, evaluation and employee safety
Collaborate with the Superintendent to create, manage, modify and keep records of the daily maintenance schedule to maximize staff efficiency and meet member expectations.
Is responsible for maintenance shop organization, cleanliness, and safety, with the expectation to hold staff members accountable for their areas of responsibility.
As a member of the turf management team, the Assistant Superintendent is expected to participate in the recruiting, interviewing and evaluating of seasonal and full time team members.
The Assistant Superintendent is expected to play golf, participate in industry events, and continuing education opportunities to stay current and up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the golf maintenance industry. With the expectation that innovative ideas will be implemented if appropriate at Inglewood Golf Club.
Compensation
$75,000-$80,000,000 DOE
