The Covey at Big Easy Ranch, located in Columbus, Tx, is seeking its next Assistant Superintendent to lead our team to new heights.
We are looking for a high energy, passionate individual that has outstanding leadership skills, communication skills, and the ability to make decisions with golf playability in mind. Understanding how to play the game while maintaining a high level of turf quality is of utmost importance to our team here at Big Easy Ranch.
Big Easy Ranch Overview
Chet Williams Design was carefully selected to design the 18-hole championship golf course, complementing the existing nine-hole par three golf course, that he also designed. Williams has made a name for himself with many notable courses including two top-rated golf courses in Texas and beyond. The master plan for The Covey takes full advantage of the unique rolling terrain including several elevation changes with 80-foot drops from tee to fairway, tree lined fairways, running creeks and waterfalls. The par 72 course boasts 7550 yards with multiple tee boxes to challenge golfers of all levels and abilities. Expanded golf practice facilities include a 10 acre driving range, 2 acre short game practice area with 3 greens and 2 bunkers along with a separate putting green.
A full range of golf services will provide a first-class golf experience. A new clubhouse will boast finely appointed locker rooms, lounge areas, dining and bar areas and outdoor patios offering breathtaking views of the golf course and countryside from 50 feet elevation. The additional clubhouse will add to the award-winning dining experience already offered at Big Easy Lodge.

Position Reports to:
Director of Agronomy, Golf Course Superintendent
Position Details:
- Assist Golf Course Superintendent in all aspects of Golf Operations on property
- The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the daily operation of golf course, maintenance, projects, and management of department personnel
- Participates in creating monthly and annual budget plans

Qualifications
- 1+ years experience as an Assistant
- 2 or 4 year degree in related field
