We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and management of our golf course, as well as fulfill General Manager duties within the pro shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in golf course management and will be responsible for supervising the Assistant Manager, who will oversee pro shop operations. This role requires expertise in turf management, irrigation systems, mechanical operations, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, ensuring the highest quality of turf and landscaping.
Supervise the Assistant Manager, who will manage pro shop operations and staff.
Manage hiring, training, and scheduling of all course and pro shop personnel to ensure efficient operation.
Handle payroll and light accounting tasks related to course operations and pro shop.
Develop and manage the annual budget for both golf course maintenance and pro shop operations.
Maintain and repair irrigation systems and golf course machinery.
Collaborate with the pro shop team to enhance the overall customer experience and service quality.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Monitor and evaluate course conditions, making adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an assistant superintendent or full superintendent role.
Strong knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and mechanical operations.
Experience with payroll, budgeting, and employee staffing.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
A degree in turf management, agronomy, or a related field is preferred but not required.
