For almost 100 years, the club's goal has been to make the game of golf central and paramount to everything else. The club is a proud supporter of local and national competition, having hosted two USGA national championships (1976 U.S. Women's Open, 2016 U.S. Women's Amateur), multiple Golf Association of Philadelphia majors, as well as the 2021 Forme Tour Rolling Green Championship. Over the 2021-2025 seasons, Rolling Green Golf Club teamed up with Hanse Design to restore the course’s William Flynn design back to its original architectural intention. Over the past 4 seasons, Rolling Green has made numerous improvements to the golf course's infrastructure and architectural value, including:
- Full-Course Bunker Restoration to Better Billy Bunker subsurface drainage
- Full-Course Reconstruction of All Tee Boxes
- 4 Acres of Poa/Bent Fairway Expansions
- Expansions to all Putting Greens Surfaces

All equipment has been transitioned to a leasing model to replace all regularly used equipment on a 5-year schedule. The candidate selected for this role will play an integral role in forming equipment lease packages and developing leased equipment replacement schedules.
Job Description
Rolling Green Golf Club's Greens Department is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and career-driven Turfgrass Professional to join our management team. Our Greens Department is dedicated to and prides itself in the training, development, and advancement of our Assistant Superintendents during your time with us and well beyond.
As an Assistant Superintendent at Rolling Green, you will be fully immersed in our management operation- including, but not limited to, crew scheduling, IPM Program & spray applications, manual irrigation & hand-watering programs, pest identification, budgeting, and communications. Additional, unique project opportunities for the 2026 season include:
- Operation & Programming of our new John Deere OnLink GPS Sprayers.
- GPS Mapping of golf course features and infrastructure to reflect all changes made during renovation work, including as-built irrigation system, drainage, and utilities GPS mapping.
- Expansion of irrigation system coverage and drainage infrastructure.
- Opportunity for involvement with the construction of a new $3.5M Performance Center
- Early Planning & Development of a Practice Facilities master plan, including new irrigation installation, improved driving range tee infrastructure, and short-game facility rebuild.

Educational Requirements
Degree or Certificate in a 2-year or 4-year Turfgrass Management Program.
Experience Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance, including the completion of at least one summer internship at a reputable facility. Candidates with less experience who possess a passion and drive to learn will be considered for an introductory position with the opportunity to grow into this role.
