Squaw Valley Golf Course is looking for an energetic, self-starter to serve as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Opened in 1992, Squaw Valley Golf Course is a 36-hole, top rated golf course sitting on 400+ acres at the northern tip of the Texas Hill Country. Located 45 miles southwest of the DFW Metroplex, the two golf courses are an enterprise fund owned by Somervell County. Apache Links has Miniverde greens and 419 tees, fairways, and roughs. Comanche Lakes has TIfeagle greens and Tifsport tees, fairways, and roughs. The property boasts a 10-acre driving range and a three green practice area. The outer areas are entirely naturalized areas. The courses utilize surface water and effluent for irrigation. Squaw Valley plays host to several group outing tournaments, charity outings, high school tournaments, and college tournaments as well as public daily play.
General Responsibilities include: Assist the superintendent with agronomic planning and implementation, crew supervision, training, scheduling, pesticide application, irrigation control, record keeping, purchasing, inventory control.
Experience: Preferred but not limiting
Salary: $60,000+ DOE
