The course was opened in 1919 designed by Willie Park aided by Bill Diddle with around 140 total acres. Over the last few years the course has been renovated to add a larger putting green and driving range to accommodate an increase in members as well as a new irrigation system.
The 2nd assistant will be responsible for many key tasks around the course including: chemical applications, hand watering, mowing, course setup, greens rolling, and leading the crew in daily operations. The 2nd assistant should be detail oriented as they will aid in quality control in morning setup and identify any issues on the course. The 2nd assistant will have opportunities for continued education via chemical applicators license programs. The goal for the 2nd assistant will be to learn as much as possible to advance their career in the field and the team will aid in any way possible for them to take the next step.
Highland Golf and Country Club is private country located in Indianapolis with a 18 hole golf course, pool, and racquet facility. The course was built as it stands in 1919 designed by Willie Park Jr. with assistance from Bill Diddel. The property contains 140 acres with 125 of which are golf course.The course recently made major updates to the practice facility with a new 17,000 sqft. chipping/putting green and new range tee last year, accompanied by a recently built training facility with simulators, heated practice bays and indoor putting green. We have a strong membership of 400 who are eager to improve the golf course as we do around 23,000 rounds of golf per year.
