This position is responsible for irrigation system maintenance and repair at the Indian Peaks Golf Course. Participates in routine maintenance of the golf course and other practical golf course maintenance activities when needed.

Essential Functions
The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive:
Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair irrigation system, which consists of valve-in head sprinklers, rotary pop-ups, valves, swing joints, PVC pipe and fittings, mechanical joints, electrical and low voltage wiring, thrust blocks, grounding grids, field controllers, central computer, communication cables, relief valves, quick couplers, a VFD pumping station.
heck irrigation system and water schedule performance, performance in field; manage account funds, logbooks, records; provide periodical reports.
Maintain maintenance records, inventory, and tool supply; order parts, supplies and project materials.
Perform regular adjustments and performance checks to computer databases pertaining to irrigation.
Oversee the work of personnel assigned to the area.
May perform occasional emergency repair off-hours.
Perform related work as required and assigned.
Typical Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of tools, methods, techniques and materials used in irrigation systems; basic electricity, water hydraulics, solid state controllers, computers, automatic valves, weather stations, various types of pumps and pumping stations. Limited knowledge of agronomy, turf grass science, propagation, maintenance practices for turf and ornamentals. SKILL: Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment necessary to perform the functions of the job. ABILITY: Communicate effectively; maintenance records; operate heavy and light equipment and follow oral or written instructions; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, the public, and other agencies. TRAINING:High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical training courses through an industry-recognized organization preferred. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience in irrigation repair, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Special Requirements
Cirrus Pro Computer training or comparable specialty course preferred.
