Sandglass Golf Club is an upscale 18-hole private golf club in Hobe Sound, FL looking to add to it's Agronomy Management Team. The desireable candidate has several years experience at the technician and foreman level with supervisory experience in a golf maintenance operation and is looking to take the next step into a management role.
The Second Assistant Superintendent will work directly with the First Assistant Superintendent to manage, delegate, and complete daily golf maintenance tasks under the supervision and direction of the Golf Course Superintendent. The Second Assistant Superintendent should be familiar with the operation of all chemical and fertilizer application equipment in order to both train others in their use and operate them in a safe and efficient manner.
The Agronomy Team at Sandglass strives to provide a healthful work/life balance and the Second Assistant Superintendent will be tasked and expected to enhance and enable that culture through efficient resource management.

Competency in all tasks related to golf maintenance is a minumum requirement, including: Operation of mowing equipment, golf course setup, spray and fertilizer application equipment and methods.
The ability to communicate and train staff in all of the above is also a must.
