As our Territory Sales Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our growth in the Southeast. Your success will be fueled by:

Initial Priorities of Position
Getting to know the culture, people and processes at Bernhard
Establish clear and measurable sales targets and growth of business
Developing and submitting territory sales plans
Identifying and managing new business opportunities
Developing new business initiatives and strategies with distribution and direct to maximize sales opportunities
Managing distributor relationships at all levels
Maintaining operating costs with the area budget
Key knowledge, skills, aptitude and other traits:
Establish annual business plans, strategies, and in-field activities to achieve agreed sales targets. These can include customer training, demos, seminar events...etc.
Plan and establish area sales forecast and distributors annual sales goals.
Assist distribution in the execution of annual sales goals by:
Sales support activities
Identify, monitor, and maintain opportunities through company CRM
Aid at local exhibitions / conventions / association events
Assist with coordinating support / service activities to correct product issues
Manage field inventory
Develop and manage relationships with distributor sales personnel, sales managers, and end users
Scheduling and making regular visits with assigned distributors and sales area
Assist with negotiating orders with customers
Coordinating field visits to customer locations and key accounts
Assisting with introducing new products and services
Assist Bernard and Company by:
Attend factory training as required to maintain expertise and skills related to products and sales processes
Report on competitive activity and new product introduction to the market
Support / attend trade shows, activities, demos, meetings, field days, etc., as necessary
Operates remotely without administrative support by answering customer calls, maintaining opportunity tracking, scheduling meetings, planning travel, utilizing CRM, and generating reports as needed
To act in the best interests of the company
Represent the company positively
Perform other special assignments and duties as may be required
Compensation and Benefits:
A monthly retention fee will be paid including commissions based on achieving agreed targets for sales and other objectives.
The basic salary will be $80,000 USD annually with potential earnings up to $125,000
In addition to the basic salary an additional range of bonuses will be offered based on targets reached.
This will be further discussed with the potential candidate.
Included vacation time is 20 days plus all observed United States holidays
An additional sales bonus will be paid when the sales target is achieved, increasing depending on the amount over target by year end.
The company also operates a profit share; you will be enrolled in this scheme, paid in accordance with the Company’s financial selling year.
We will also assist with a $600 car allowance per month. The vehicle should be suitable for carrying out business in our current marketplace.
Vehicle fuel for business will be at Bernhard & Company’s expense.
We will reimburse all business expenses legitimately incurred in carrying out your role. You will be provided a company credit card for all travel expenses including hotels, meals, rental cars, flights, customer entertainment, etc. A company provided laptop and cell phone will also be included.
All salary payments are paid monthly and will be made gross. You will be responsible for all income tax, pension contributions, and health insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of industry experience
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Organized
Strong communications skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Previous sales experience preferred but not required
