The Director of Agronomy at Green Valley Country Club oversees all aspects of agronomic practices, course maintenance, conditioning equipment and the management of common grounds and landscaping for the Club's amenities. This role ensures that the golf course maintenance operations align with the Club’s operational and business plan strategies.

The Director of Agronomy must represent Green Valley Country Club with the highest level of professionalism, ensuring their actions and operations reflect positively on the Club and its community.

The Director of Agronomy will collaborate closely with the General Manager and other management staff to define, communicate, and implement the strategic plan and operational standards for Green Valley Country Club. This role is crucial in ensuring that the golf course meets the club's brand promise of high-quality, championship-level conditions by:

• Providing daily oversight and management of golf course maintenance operations.

• Managing the golf course maintenance department budget, timeline, and schedule.

• Assisting with the selection of turf varieties and materials, including greens grass, capping materials, bunker liners, bunker sand, and greens mix materials.

• Overseeing quality control for all materials and installations.

• Hiring, training, developing, and motivating a skilled, professional staff for golf course maintenance operations.

  This is a supervisory position who reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the performance, management and hiring of employees within the department including the following positions:

• Superintendent

• Asst Superintendent

• Irrigation Specialist

• Mechanic

• Agronomic team
