Country Club of Indianapolis is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Country Club of Indianapolis is the hidden gem of Indy. Founded in 1891, making it the oldest Country Club in Indianapolis. Managed turf includes: Poa/Bent Greens, Bent Fairways/Tees, and Turf type Tall Fescue Rough.
In 2023, CCI renovated all bunkers, installing Better Billy Bunker linings. Starting this fall, and continuing through the 2025 season, CCI will be installing Fescue areas, installing new drainage, and removing a great number of trees from the property.
The assistant superintendent must be hard-working, have a willingness to learn, and should be very detailed oriented. Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
Operation of all equipment
Ability to manage 15-20 employees
Mixing and calculations for fertilizer and pesticide applications
Experience with operating and calibrating sprayers/spreaders
Assist in keeping detailed records of fertilizer and chemical applications
Perform water management practices
Irrigation and Drainage experience
Renovation/grow-in experience
Compensation includes: $50-55K/year, Health Insurance, Dental, Roth IRA, PTO, Uniforms, Dues for local and national organizations, golf privileges, and more.
