The assistant golf course superintendent reports directly to the golf course superintendent.  Under the superintendent's supervision, the assistant superintendent directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, rough, landscaped areas.  The assistant golf course superintendent will be responsible for the direct supervision of the crew and being in charge for managing a weekend.  A self motivating individual, team leader, being able to diagnose turf problems, and some mechanical knowledge is necessary to be an integral part of the Agronomy team.  The assistant superintendent may serve in the superintendent's capacity during his/her absence.
