Join the team at Lemon Bay Golf Club for your summer turfgrass internship! We are seeking motivated individuals to continue learning the industry and gain experience with warm-season turfgrass. Interns will participate in weekly staff meetings, engage in budgeting conversations, and learn Florida BMPs for golf courses.
Key Opportunities:
Assist with daily course operations, including mowing, bunker maintenance, hand watering, and course setup.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides under supervision.
Operate turf maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist with recordkeeping and chemical inventory management.
Participate in weekly meetings on cultural practices, budgeting, and pest scouting

Qualifications:
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
Current enrollment in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related program
Basic knowledge of turf maintenance, including chemicals and irrigation systems.
Ability to perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions and lift equipment as needed.
Strong ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license (preferred).
Willingness to learn and grow in the turf management industry.
Lemon Bay Golf Club is a private, 18-hole golf club in Englewood, Florida. The course is undergoing a J. Drew Rogers designed, full-course renovation and conversion to Bimini Bermudagrass with Tif-Eagle greens.
