We are looking for a Superintendent or an assistant superintendent with experience. We have a Superintendent who is looking to hire/train a replacement. We have an outdoor crew who is managed by our Super, that oversees the 18 holes, applies chemicals, and generally maintains our 160 acre property. Job will be a 9 month contract that allows you to collect seasonal unemployment on top of your salary. We have recently updated our irrigation system for your staff to have remote access. We have began a long term program of renovating bunkers and are about half way through the plan. We as an ownership group that has been committed to refine our process and make life better for our employees, as well as our golfers by providing excellent playing conditions.
We are a scenic 18 hole golf course located in Northeast Iowa. We have the only 18 hole course within a 30 mile radius. Big Rock is a uniquely designed course where the front 9 are 70 years old, that feature crowned greens and plenty of relief for poor shots. The back 9 are designed to be much more challenging, offering water hazards, an abundance of bunkers, beautiful green structures that are much more receptive but are less accessible. The back also offers some of the best scenery of gods country in the state.
