Bear Dance Golf Club, consistently ranked among Colorado’s premier daily-fee golf destinations, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our agronomy team in Larkspur, CO.
This position is open due to an internal promotion — our current Assistant Superintendent is being elevated to Superintendent at another Heritage Golf Group property, reflecting our company’s commitment to developing and advancing talented professionals.

Position Summary
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to help lead daily golf course maintenance operations, staff supervision, and long-term turf health initiatives. This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to continue building leadership experience within a progressive, growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in daily planning and execution of maintenance operations
Supervise, train, and motivate maintenance staff
Participate in chemical and fertilizer applications and recordkeeping
Monitor turf conditions and assist with agronomic decision-making
Support irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repairs
Assist with course setup and tournament preparation
Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Educational Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred
Experience Requirements
Minimum 2–4 years of golf course maintenance experience
Colorado pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain promptly)
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and leadership mindset
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
