Concord Country Club is looking for a self-motivated individual with a mechanical experience to join our turf maintenance team. The Ideal candidate should be honest, organized and a self-starter and will to work in a group with others. The candidate will be responsible for working with the Equipment Manager in repairing and maintaining all golf course maintenance equipment.
Concord has an asset replacement program which keep all equipment current and new through purchasing and lease deals. The maintenance shop is approx. 3500 sq. ft with two lifts, grinders and various other golf course and automotive equipment.
The Assistant EM will also be occasionally asked to help on the golf course as/if needed. This includes tournament prep or any special projects/cultural practices. All candidates should be personable and work in collaboration with the Superintendent, Equipment Manager, and Assistant Superintendents.
This is a great opportunity to work alongside the existing Equipment Manager who has been with the club for 38 years and learn the ins and outs of the operation, equipment and maintenance at Concord. There will be opportunity in the future to learn, grow and progress within the organization.
Training in golf course maintenance, automotive or small engine repair is preferred but not a prerequisite. There will be ample opportunity to train if candidate has mechanical aptitude. Candidates who currently in the automotive industry and are looking to shift gears to golf course maintenance will be considered as well.
All candidates should have the ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly, stand, kneel, bend, or work in a shop setting and outdoor environments. Ability to read technical diagrams, parts and service manuals, and operate diagnostic tools. All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.
The position would be asked to work 40 hrs. per week (typically Monday through Friday) and usually a Saturday or Sunday morning (4 hrs.) during the golf season (April to October). During the off season, it will be 40 hrs. a week with weekends off (unless emergency).
Concord Country Club is a 125-year-old private club, featuring a Donald Ross designed 18-hole golf course, 6 tennis courts, 6 pickleball courts, pool facilities and a clubhouse for members and guests. Concord has hosted several state Amateur Championships with the most recent the 2025 Massachusetts Women’s Amateur Championship. The golf course has recently installed (2021) a new Rain Bird IC system and an irrigation storage pond (2022 completion). Along with an irrigation system, the club is in the process of implementing a new Master plan by architect Andrew Green with golf course construction continuing in the spring of 2026. The department is located in a 20,000 sq. ft. ground and environmental management center built in 2012.
