The Wisconsin Country Club is a private, 18-hole facility originally designed by Harry Smead in 1926 and is proud to be part of the Concert Golf Partners portfolio of 35+ premier private clubs nationwide.
This internship is designed for students who are serious about pursuing a long-term career in golf course management and want hands-on experience at a high-performing private club while gaining exposure to a multi-property management organization.
Interns at Wisconsin Country Club will work directly with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents, gaining practical experience across all areas of golf course operations while being mentored in agronomy, leadership, and professional development.
What You’ll Learn & Experience
This is a hands-on internship where learning and development are the priority. Interns will be actively involved in daily operations and will gain experience in:
Course setup and daily presentation standards
Chemical and fertilizer applications (spraying & spreading)
Greens moisture management and water management strategies
Irrigation system troubleshooting and repair
Equipment operation and maintenance
Mowing practices across all playing surfaces
Crew supervision and leadership development
Tournament preparation, including the 2026 Wisconsin Women’s Amateur Championship

Located just outside of the city, The Wisconsin Country Club is home to one of the most challenging and beautiful 18-hole golf courses in the area. It's Harry Smead design features tree-lined fairways, intricately contoured greens, and well-positioned bunkering. In addition, Members enjoy an excellent court experience with 4 hard tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts available for open play, clinics, and socials. Our heated Junior-Olympic-sized pool is open seasonally and features a kiddie pool, slide, and full-service snack bar. For our health-conscious members, our Fitness Center is open daily and features a variety of specialty equipment. A year-round social calendar and dining operation ensure all Members enjoy their home away from home.
