Employees of Glenbrook Club ensure the highest level of service for residents, members, and guests by providing personal, gracious, and professional support. Under the direction of the Superintendent & Facilities Manager, the Grounds Crewman is responsible for maintaining manicured landscapes throughout all Club Grounds. This includes performing daily turf care, landscaping duties, and general grounds maintenance to uphold the Glenbrook standards.
The position requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional course and landscape conditions. Grounds Crewmen operate a variety of equipment, perform manual labor, assist with project work, and contribute to the overall aesthetic and operational goals of the property. They must follow standard procedures, operate equipment safely and responsibly, and understand varying site conditions to minimize equipment wear. The Grounds Crewman supports daily production needs and reports any labor, material, or equipment concerns to their supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Uses hand tools such as rakes, shovels, blowers, etc.
Drives utility vehicles or other vehicles as needed to complete tasks.
Remove trash to provide a clean area.
Washes and returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility and cleans the maintenance areas.
Assists in project work: grades and prepares soil bases, lays sod and sprigs.
Performs other duties as directed by Superintendent & Facilities Manager.
Observe and report any turf, landscape and equipment problems.
Perform work with due regard to safety of self and fellow employees while exercising proper care and protection of company property.
Dig trenches as directed.
Must be able to lift bags of up to 50 pounds.
Irrigate areas as instructed.
Inform supervisor of any work discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
Attend all relevant operational meetings.
Operates mowers and string trimmers in trimming around trees, fence lines, lake banks, bed edges and hillsides.
Performs other duties as directed by Crew Foreman.
Operate all powered maintenance equipment safely, proficiently, and with awareness of golfer safety.
Become knowledgeable about the correct cutting heights.
Mow designated areas with proper mower as directed.
Glenbrook Club is a private 9 hole course in a gated community in Glenbrook Nevada. The club is celebrating our one hundred year anniversary this year. Our golf course sits in the heart of our community with amazing mountain and lake views of Lake Tahoe. Our Golf season runs from May 1st through October weather permitted.
