Wakonda Club is excited to announce the exceptional opportunity of Assistant Superintendent.  Founded in 1922, Wakonda Club is a private, member-owned golf and country club located in the heart of Des Moines which also hosts the Principal Charity Classic on The Champions Tour annually.  In 2023, Wakonda Club underwent a $7.4 Million Restoration which included a new irrigation system, rebuilding of five greens, green expansions on the remaining thirteen, fairway expansion & re-grassing, tee construction & re-grassing, and rebuilding of all bunkers.  While the majority of work was completed during the 2023 & 2024 restoration, Wakonda Club continues to improve the Golf Course through Capital funding and Operational Planning including Cart path additions, Shop Improvements, Drainage
