Promontory is currently operating three golf courses.  The courses include the Pete Dye Canyon course, the Jack Nicklaus Painted Valley Signature course, and a Forrest Richardson designed 18-hole par 3 course.

We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to help manage the maintenance of the Jack Nicklaus Signature course. The individual will report to the Superintendent who oversees all daily golf course maintenance practices.

Duties Include –

• Ensuring elite playing conditions of the golf course and help achieve our goal of perpetual improvement.
• Conducting the morning job assignments and meetings using TaskTracker
• Crew training
• Work as a team with the golf professionals creating great synergy for tournaments, daily play, and general course conditions.
• Assist with safety programs, training, and record keeping using Greenkeeper
• Calibrate, conduct, and supervise fertilizer and chemical applications.
• Oversee and help with irrigation and drainage system maintenance and repair.
• Must have a working knowledge of mower operations, utility carts, tractor, spreaders, and small equipment.
• Help coordinate with the Equipment Manager to repair, clean, paint, and refurbish equipment.
• Winter work consists of snow removal and equipment maintenance projects.
• Having the ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Being able to bend, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, and reach with both arms for sustained periods of time as the task dictates.
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Must have 2 or 4 year degree in turf grass management along with 5 plus years in operations and supervision.

Total Compensation $70,000 - $80,000 and is benefit eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance.
