Pierce Park Greens is a community-focused 9-hole par 3 golf course and driving range that serves as the home of First Tee – Idaho. Our mission is to provide an inviting and accessible golf experience for players of all ages while maintaining a well-kept facility that fosters both fun and learning.
Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent will play a key role in the daily operations and maintenance of Pierce Park Greens’ golf course and driving range. This position supports the Superintendent in managing agronomic practices, turf maintenance, irrigation systems, and overall course conditions, while also assisting with supervision of seasonal staff.
This is a hands-on position well-suited for someone passionate about turf management, eager to take ownership of projects, and committed to creating a high-quality golf experience for our community.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing daily maintenance of the 9-hole par 3 golf course and driving range.
Maintain and repair turfgrass, landscaping, bunkers, and practice areas to a consistent standard of play.
Operate, monitor, and assist with repairs to irrigation systems.
Train, direct, and supervise seasonal staff and volunteers.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments in compliance with regulations and best practices.
Maintain equipment in proper working condition and assist with basic repairs.
Ensure the course and range are safe, playable, and welcoming to all users.
Support sustainability and water management initiatives in line with best practices for small golf facilities.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
