The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent plays a crucial role in the maintenance and management of the golf course grounds. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, this position involves overseeing daily operations, scheduling maintenance tasks, managing a team of groundskeepers, and ensuring the course meets the highest standards. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent helps develop and execute maintenance programs, irrigation schedules, pest and disease control strategies, and turf management plans. They also assist in budgeting, equipment maintenance, purchasing supplies, and record-keeping. This role requires a deep understanding of agronomy, horticulture, and turfgrass management.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for environmental stewardship. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with the team and engaging with golfers and members. A degree in turfgrass management, horticulture, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience in golf course maintenance. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent must be knowledgeable about turfgrass species, irrigation systems, fertilizers, and pest control methods to ensure the course remains in top condition.

Degree in turfgrass management, horticulture, or related field preferred
