Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter is searching for an Assistant Mechanic to join our team!
This individual is responsible for assisting the Equipment Manager in the repair and maintenance of various diesel, electric, and gasoline-powered equipment, the daily setup of all needed machinery and the comprehensive preventive maintenance program. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment must be a top priority.
Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter is an 18-hole, Jack Nicklaus Signature designed golf course located in Jupiter, Florida. As an Audubon Certified Sanctuary, the lush natural setting presents a tranquil backdrop to our championship caliber facility located just 2 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Regularly inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various golf course & landscape maintenance equipment to ensure proper performance; including mowers, utility carts, tractors, rollers and small-engine tools.
Communicates any equipment-related problems, maintenance issues, known safety hazards or unsafe practices to leadership or appropriate department.
Sets up, modifies and services cutting equipment as directed; including reel & bedknife grinding.
Instructs and/or trains golf course maintenance workers regarding the safe operating procedures and cleaning of equipment.
Checks equipment for performance on the course and makes emergency repairs when needed.
Performs other essential duties as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendents such as, but not limited to, daily setup, mowing, fertilizing, spraying and other equipment operation.
Assists with recordkeeping, organizing and general maintenance facility cleanliness.
Adheres to all Club policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment, automotive apparatuses, and precision mowers in the golf industry.
Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate repair.
Skilled in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools.
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course.
Detail-oriented and able to operate safely in a fast paced environment.
Able to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes.
Maintain clean and well-organized work areas.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR).
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Prefer one year previous experience.
Positive attitude and eager to learn.
Willing to work as part of a team in an organized, fast-paced environment.
