Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is in search of a motivated, team-oriented individual with previous golf course irrigation experience. The Irrigation Technician will work alongside of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to ensure the irrigation system is properly functioning. This person will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our Toro Irrigation system.
Starting in April 2026, we will begin installing a new, state of the art Rainbird Irrigation system. The Irrigation Technician will be heavily involved with this project from start to finish.
- 2-4 years as a Golf Course Irrigation Technician.
- Responsible for the upkeep, repairs and maintenance of the irrigation systems.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the irrigation parts room and maintains inventory of the
- supplies.
- Assists Golf Course Superintendent with preventative maintenance of designated systems, including edging of irrigation and drainage systems.
- Replace or adjust sprinkler heads as needed to ensure even coverage and prevent dry or wet spots.
- Completes purchase orders and submits them to the Superintendent for authorization.
- Assists the Assistant Superintendent in managing the team members.
- Identify and repair leaks, clogs, and other system malfunctions promptly
- Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and guests at all times.
- Assisting with cleanup and pumping of water after large storms/hurricanes.
- Trains and supervises staff assigned to irrigation responsibilities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
