Join our team as an Assistant in Training to aid in daily golf course maintenance under the mentorship of the Superintendent and Director of Agronomy. In this role, you will be immersed in all aspects of golf course upkeep, from mowing the greens to managing irrigation systems. An integral part of your training will be to acquire a chemical license to apply pesticides and fertilizers, ensuring the health and vitality of the turf and plants. You will learn about different grass species, pest management strategies, and the safe application of chemicals to maintain a pristine golf course. Your daily tasks will include assisting with equipment maintenance, landscape projects, and course setup for events. This role offers a hands-on learning experience in a dynamic outdoor environment, where attention to detail and a passion for golf course maintenance are key.
The ideal candidate for this position is a team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. No prior experience is required, but a genuine interest in turfgrass management and a desire to pursue a career in golf course maintenance is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction are crucial for success in this role.
