Position Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Equipment Technician with a proven record of assisting the company in providing premium turf conditions. The candidate must have a strong background in maintaining golf equipment and maintenance programs, welding, fabricating. This position is an integral part of the Agronomy Team and requires knowledge of a variety of golf, Ag and light construction equipment, exceptional organizational skills, ability to provide creative solutions, and ability to prepare or recommend the equipment and maintenance budget.
Qualifications:
- Multi course experience
- 2-5 years of experience as a head mechanic or Equipment Technician
- Working knowledge of all turf and landscape equipment, including cutting unit set-up, hydraulic theory and diagnosis, electrical theory and diagnosis, combustion engines, welding, 2 and 4 stroke engines
- Experience or familiarity on a variety of equipment
- Ability to fabricate parts, including cutting and welding
- Ability to read and follow manuals to understand preventive maintenance requirements and schedules and repair equipment
- Know and can utilize the various trade tools and the safety guidelines of their use
- Have a basic understanding of the game of golf and the effects turf equipment has on the overall condition and playability of the game
- Trade school or formal education or certifications in mechanical or electrical or related programs or equivalent experience
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Have a valid driver’s license

Performs daily course checks to ensure cut quality and proper operation of equipment
Places safety as a top priority and is responsible for complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean, functional service areas
