Lead Equipment Manager – Arborlinks Golf Club
Just 45 minutes south of Omaha, NE and 50 minutes east of Lincoln, NE, sits Arborlinks Golf Club in Nebraska City, NE. Constructed on the land that is home to the Arbor Day Foundation, this Arnold Palmer designed 18 hole championship course provides a challenging layout of golf moving through the prairie lands parted by North Table Creek. The greens, fairways and tees are bentgrass and the Rough is a Bluegrass Fescue blend. The facility is owned and managed by the Dormie Network and has lodging for its members along with dining and evening entertainment centered around a lighted Chipping green area. The facility is private and available for use to Members and guests. Arborlinks is searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Equipment manager to work side by side with the Director of Agronomy and Agronomy Management Team to continue to see Arborlinks thrive and succeed.
Arborlinks Mechanic Info:
- Leased equipment from John Deere every 4 years - Most equipment is 2 years old and new triplexes just arrived
-Foley Grinders only 2 years old
-Dedicated Mechanics area within the office facility. Equipment storage in separate building.
-John Deere Service advisor experience is a plus
- Tools for fabricating and building necessary implements is on site(welder, etc)
- Brand New Golflift GL-9
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all grounds keeping equipment and tools. Maintains the purchasing of parts, recordkeeping, and the supervision of equipment technicians. Works directly with the Director of Agronomy and Assistants to ensure equipment is maintained at the highest level and adheres to Preventative Maintenance routines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintains and inspects the mowing equipment to identify repair and maintenance needs. Reports issues to the Superintendent.
Performs maintenance procedures and completes identified repairs necessary for proper operation of the mowing equipment, club cars, small tractors and loaders.
Operates small engine equipment, golf carts, small tractors and loaders.
Trains operators on the proper use of the equipment in a safe manner.
Makes recommendations for the hiring and management of the grounds crew.
Purchases parts necessary for the maintenance of grounds keeping equipment and golf carts.
Maintains the records associated with the maintenance and repair of the equipment.
Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Maintains safety of materials per OSHA regulations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily operation of department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in related field.
2 years of previous experience as a mechanic or related experience.
PHYISCAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Able to bend, stretch, push, pull and move as needed to utilize machinery and equipment.
Must be able to visually inspect machinery and course quality.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
